High quality 316L surgical stainless steel smooth segment ring with a gauge of 1.6mm. The hinge on this ring makes it easier to fit than standard segment rings (with fully removable segments) because you won't drop the segment. This ring features a hinge on one side of the segment and a tiny stem on the opposite side. When the segment is opened, the ring can be inserted into the piercing. To open the segment, gently pull the two ends of the ring apart and the segment will drop down to one side. To replace the segment, gently pull the two ends of the ring apart, position the small stem into the hole (both on the opposite side of the ring to the hinge) and then release your hold. The two ends of the ring will squeeze together to hold the segment in place. This hinged segment ring is available in a choice of internal diameter sizes between 8mm and 14
mm.
