925 sterling silver hoop ring finished in 18 carat gold-plate. The gauge of this ring is 0.7mm and the ring features a decorative ball which gives the effect of being a ball closure ring. The ring has an internal diameter of 7mm. To fit the ring, gently pull the two sides of the ring apart and one prong end will come out of one side of the ball. To fit it back, squeeze the ring gently so that the pronged end fits back into the hole in the ball. This ring, being manufactured from sterling silver, is quite pliable which makes it easy to insert into your piercing.

Ordered a few different types of hoops for my ears and nose, plus a barbell for my tongue. I really liked the variety of gauges and diameters available. For anyone interested, I noticed that there is a difference in the tones of gold according to what materials are used. So I would describe the tone of PVD gold to be fairly pale (almost silvery), whereas 18ct gold plated stainless steel is a dark yellow tone and then 18ct gold plated sterling silver has more of a bright yellow tone (like 'Indian' gold jewellery).
