316L surgical stainless steel ball closure style ring with hinge mechanism. The hinge on this ring makes it easier to fit than standard ball closure rings because you cannot drop the ball. At one side of the ring is the hinge, whilst at the opposite side the pronged end of the stem features a hole. There is a tiny stem attached to the ball and this stem fits into the aforementioned hole. To open the ring, pull the two ends of the ring apart and the hinged section will lift up as shown. To close the ring, pull the two ends of the ring apart, position the small stem (attached to the ball) into the hole in the end of the stem opposite and then release your hold. The two ends of the ring will squeeze together to hold the ring in place. This hinged ball closure ring is available in 1.2mm and 1.6mm gauge, along with a choice of 8mm and 10mm internal diameter. The 1.2mm gauge version features a 3mm diameter ball, whilst the 1.6mm gauge version features a 4mm diameter ball.
