High quality 316L surgical stainless steel ring available in a choice of 1.2mm and 1.6mm gauge. The pretty jewel is set in a steel disc and measures 3mm diameter on the 1.2mm version and 4mm diameter on the 1.6mm version. The disc itself features a groove all the way around it which enables it to be held in place by way of a tension grip (in much the same way as a ball closure ring). To remove the disc, push it to either the left or the right and it will slide out. To replace the disc, slide it between the two end prongs of the ring whilst ensuring that both prongs are sitting inside the groove on the disc. Release your hold on the disc and the two prongs of the ring will squeeze together to hold the disc in place. As with ball closure rings, you should always ensure that the prongs have a tight hold of the disc. The best way to do this is to remove the disc and then squeeze the two prongs together with a pair of clean pliers (cover the ring with some tissue paper to protect it). As you release your grip on the pliers, the two prongs will come apart a little - this is normal. Squeeze together another couple of times (a bouncing motion is ideal) and then you should find that the disc sits tightly when positioned in place. This ring has an internal diameter of 8mm and is available in a choice of colours.
